Certified translation
Certified means that a translator has taken an oath
at a Court of Justice. With it he/she is obligated to
perform the translation to the best of his/her ability.
No rights can be derived from a certified translation.
However, a translation from a certified translation
service does guarantee quality. Furthermore, a certified
translation is a legal necessity in many cases. For
example, this could be a document that has to be translated
for a foreign country, such as a marriage license or
a legal document.
Fraud-proof certification
The way in which a document is certified is also very
important. A certified translation service makes sure
it is done according to the official regulations. Akzent
prepares it in such a way that invisible changing of
the documents afterwards becomes impossible. We attach
the translation and provide it with a sticker and the
stamp of our office. The stamp also functions as a seal
that should not be broken. Then the stamp of the translator
follows with initials and a statement. A sticker is
also placed between the translation and the original,
with a stamp of our office on both sides. This makes
it impossible to separate the documents without breaking
the seal.
Apostille and legalization
Depending on what country the translation is for,
either an apostille or legalization is needed. There
are different agreements applicable between countries.
This has to be carefully researched first, otherwise
delays and rejection of the documents can occur. Akzent
